I have a wealth of contacts and knowledge for almost any trade in construction that i have experience of working with already, so when employing me for your project, especially at precon stage, i can quantify, price up and sub out any sub out packages ahead of, or durin the constructrion phase. I am well versed in site surveying, material quantifying and QS duties which means i can make a project go live on site with a strong robust delivery plan already in place. I have trusted external estimators for large projects that i work alongside and im very efficient when quoting small worked projects myself having quoted, won and delivered hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of small works projects.
I'm well versed and experienced in producing building condition reports both before and after project completion. Usually broken down into separate demises or different sub contractor packages, i can comprehensively write up reports, mark up drawings, quantify and measure materials, safely gain access to high risk areas and document any information required. This skillset can also run into producing snagging reports if you wanted to hire me to hold a contractor accountable for their sub standard work. I have a huge amount of experience in chasing retention payments and i have often briefed solicitors to draft letters and make claims on my employers behalf.
Without doubt, the lionshare of my career has been spent on site so I'm well versed and experienced in producing building condition reports both before and after project completion. This website is to give myself, Duncan Baldwin, an open and honest professional online presence. I am a CIS registered Freelance Operations / Project Manager working in the Construction, Refurbishment and Fit Out sectors trading as Thames Valley Construction Management Ltd. All work i undertake is based in the Home Counties and Thames Valley Area although I am always open to hearing about any project no matter of location even overseas. I currently hold SMSTS, CSCS, IOSH Health & Safety, First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid, TG20 Basic Scaffold Inspection, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, IPAF 1b, 3a & 3b, Working at Height, a CRB basic disclosure and DBS Enhanced Check plus a Level 6 NVQ in Construction Management which means i operate at Black CSCS Card Level. All of my tickets are valid and in date. I am committed to my own professional development and im currently enjoy learning more about the JCT suite of contracts in my current role. All Insurances and Qualifications that I have are available to see upon interview. I have experience as No.1 Manager on site for Private Residential, Social Housing, Cut & Carve, Commercial buildings, Educational, New Build, Renovation and Fit Out contracts.
